Website analysis is nothing but checking the website from many aspects. Once the various elements are corrected, website becomes ready for the future SEO success. Website analysis gives some insight to web site owners about the structure of the website.

  • Site contents and navigation - is it user friendly/search engine friendly?
e.g. if most of the contents of the website is written in the form of images, search engine wont be able to read the text.
  • HTML validation problems
  • Identification and effective use of meta tags
  • Broken link Issues
  • Current page rank of the website
  • How many pages of the website are currently indexed by the major Search Engines.
  • Number of back-links to the website
  • Identification of old pages, frequently changing pages
If a search engine determines the old pages in the website, it will gradually begin to demote ranking index
  • Identification of slow pages - the pages that are likely to take too long to load when clicked.
Problems could be with the java scripts, coding problems, heavy images, poor HTML and/or CSS etc
Slow loading pages are one of the main reasons why people leave a website
  • Website Content - Has the website got optimum amount of content? Too much or too little can cause problems in the ranking.
  • Keyword/search terms usage and density
The website should contain carefully targeted keywords and phrases, and these keywords and phrases need to be placed within the web page content at strategically important places, and repeated a nominal amount of times

Depending upon answers to above questions, SEO team should define both on page and off page search engine.
